Little David

My brother, Larry, is a photographer. I saw this photo in his collection and asked if I could paint it. I loved the vibrant expression and colors, and the triangular composition. I chose to build a large triangular canvas and paint in an active painterly manner to express the action. David said he was inspired by my paintings in his folk's house to become an artist himself. He now works in New York.
